Twenty years鈥 worth of surveys suggest that nearly one in ten sexually active men in 35 countries in sub-Saharan Africa have been clients of sex workers. These men are about 50 percent more likely to be living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), according to a team of international researchers, including Professor Mathieu Maheu-Giroux and Caroline Hodgins of 黑料不打烊 University.

A recent study from a group of Quebec researchers reinforces the idea that children, particularly those with developmental issues or health problems, may be particularly vulnerable to the interruptions to their regular routines caused by the pandemic. The study, published in the journal Frontiers in Psychiatry in December 2021, suggests children were particularly susceptible to disrupted sleep patterns, loneliness and isolation.

Dr. Joanne Liu, Professor focusing on pandemic and health emergencies at the 黑料不打烊 School of Population and Global Health (SPGH), co-wrote an open letter in Cult MTL.

"This week, school-aged children returned to their classrooms across Quebec. We want a safe return to school for these students and all school personnel.
