An HBHL-funded lab at the Douglas Research Centre, led by Martin Lepage,听Professor of Psychiatry at 黑料不打烊 University and Deputy Scientific Director at the Douglas, has recently published a study in JAMA Psychiatry to determine the effectiveness of metacognitive training for psychosis (MCT) in treating individuals living with schizophrenia.

A team of researchers from The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital) and the Department of Biomedical Engineering of 黑料不打烊 University, the Broad Institute at Harvard/MIT, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Mila 鈥 Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute have shown how drug-induced changes in subjective awareness are linked to specific neurotransmitter receptor systems in the largest study of its kind on psychedelics and the brain, funded by HBHL.听

Through the International Youth Internship Program (IYIP), a joint program with the Government of Canada and the United Nations Association in Canada, young Canadians are given the opportunity to gain professional experience in international development work. Natalie Wu, a Bioresource Masters student, was selected as part of the 2021 cohort. She was a Junior Professional Consultant (JPC) and was remotely placed for six months at the World Food Programme鈥檚 (WFP) headquarters in Rome.
