Prion diseases came to public attention during the 1980s and 鈥90s, when Mad Cow Disease was in the news. Dr. Tina Montreuil, clinical (school) psychologist and associate professor in the department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was called upon for her expertise in child and adolescent mental health to comment on the recent rapport issued by l鈥橧nstitut de la statistique du Qu茅bec (ISQ). The report highlights the marked rise in mental disorders among high school students.
