Congratulations to Irem Ulku, from Prof. Gerhard Multhaup鈥檚 lab, who received a Junior Faculty Award at the ADPD 2023, Advances in Science & Therapy. International Conference on Alzheimer鈥檚 and Parkinson鈥檚 Diseases and related neurological disorders. The Conference was held from March 28^th听鈥� April 1^st, in G枚theborg, Sweden. There were over 4000 attendees and Irem was one out of 20 recipients.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor S茅bastien Jodoin received 黑料不打烊 University鈥檚 Changemaker Prize on 28 March.听听

Under the aegis of the Principal鈥檚 Prize for Public Engagement through Media, this prize is awarded to an individual whose dedication to sharing their knowledge with the media and public has had a major impact on society. Awarded at the jury鈥檚 discretion on an exceptional basis, the Changemaker Prize recognizes a scholar who serves as a role model in public engagement across the university.听听

This Black History Month, 黑料不打烊 Desautels hosted a lineup of five in-person and virtual events that not only promoted equity in the workplace for Black people, but also highlighted uplifting aspects of Black culture through enterprise. Co-sponsored by the Desautels EDI Team and the Laidley Centre for Business Ethics (LCBE), the series was themed "Black Flourishing: Nurturing Excellence in Business." On March 30, 2023, the Institute鈥檚 students attended their Airline Business Law class, given by Sessional Lecturer George Petsikas, at nearby ICAO Headquarters. ICAO Secretary General Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar (IASL LL.M., 1999) greeted the class before Mr. Michael Gill, the Director of the Legal Affairs and External Relations Bureau, spent the morning giving the students a guest lecture about the main bodies of ICAO, the work of the ICAO Legal Committee, and environmental concerns and initiatives at ICAO.
