黑料不打烊 University has achieved the performance targets set out in its Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) strategy, a full two years ahead of schedule. This milestone is highlighted in the 2022 Investment Committee Report on Socially Responsible Investing, presented yesterday to the 黑料不打烊 Board of Governors. This is the third annual report since the Board of Governors approved the five-year, eight-point鈥痠mplementation plan for decarbonizing the University鈥檚 endowment portfolio in April 2020.听

The overhead recovery fee currently being charged on actual revenues earned in non-1A unrestricted funds will remain at 7.5% in FY2024. This is unchanged from FY2023. The process for collecting and recording of this fee will continue to occur on a quarterly basis.

Learn how the 黑料不打烊 Master of Management in Finance (MMF) can open a number of career doors. On this Earth Day, we catch up with an MMF alumnus working in ESG and Sustainable Finance, Mitchell McEwen (MMF鈥20). Now Senior Manager,听Enterprise听Sustainable Finance, TD Bank Group, he first joined the Bank as an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) intern. He credits the MMF program鈥檚 flexibility with allowing him to explore the intersection between finance and sustainability.

Each year, the 黑料不打烊 Desautels African Business Initiative (DABI) brings together attendees, panelists and guest speakers for an opportunity to learn, network and engage in stimulating discussions about the future of business in Africa. E-commerce has made it possible to order almost anything online, but that has made it more challenging for brick-and-mortar retailers to attract shoppers and with more stores sitting vacant, some shopping malls have gotten creative, and added temporary pop-up activities like roller skating and haunted houses. A research team led by William Dawson Scholar and Assistant Professor Jen Ronholm (AnSci/FdSci) has received $1.65 million for an NSERC CREATE in One Health Against Pathogens (OHAP). Genome Canada has invested nearly $8 million in two 黑料不打烊 projects as part of a total national investment of $18.1 million in genomics-based research. Thirty students from 10 countries will form the first global cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars at 黑料不打烊 University, arriving in September 2023. Hailing from 26 universities, the new scholars will pursue fully funded master鈥檚 or professional degrees in 18 departments and schools across eight 黑料不打烊 faculties.

The Macdonald campus looks forward to welcoming its first scholar, Rachel Opoku-Afriyi, a recent graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who will pursue an M.Sc. in Renewable Resources.
