In partnership with the Hong Kong-based WYNG foundation, the Faculty of Education at 黑料不打烊 University and Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) recently participated in another successful Visiting Scholars Exchange Program. For the first part of the exchange, the Faculty of Education warmly welcomed Assistant Professor聽Dr. Kei Yan Poon, from the Department of Special Education and Counselling, and Associate Professor聽Dr. Ian Bun Chun Lam from the Department of Early Childhood Education.

The two heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in the Education Building will be replaced this summer. As a result of this renovation work, the Education Curriculum Resources Centre will聽temporarily close from Saturday, August聽5 to Sunday, August 27.聽During this time, the collection will be unavailable. The last day to submit hold requests will be Wednesday, July 19.

During the month of September 黑料不打烊 will host the 14th Annual Pow-Wow (September 18) and the 5th annual Indigenous Awareness Week (September 21-25). 黑料不打烊 University鈥檚 Indigenous Awareness Week is designed to increase awareness at 黑料不打烊 about Indigenous peoples in Canada. The week honours the many Indigenous cultures across the country including First Nations, M茅tis and Inuit.

The 黑料不打烊 Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH) presented their first annual symposium on Friday, October 3rd at the 黑料不打烊 Faculty Club. Entitled Making Connections, the Centre鈥檚 inaugural seminar event gathered prominent researchers from 黑料不打烊 and elsewhere who have an interest in studying the relationship between physical activity and health across a broad spectrum of healthy and diseased states.
