Tina Montreuil, ECP, was recently featured on Global News and Times Colonist outlining how parents can talk honestly with their children about traumatic events, such as the case of a bus crashing into a daycare.

鈥淧arents need to prepare for these discussions and listen instead of being reactive. With any tragedy or anything that elicits a reaction of distress or sorrow, we want to be sure that we鈥檙e available, we鈥檙e listening, because we need to validate and create space for them.鈥�

Teacher turned mission-driven entrepreneur, Philip Cutler (B.Ed.'13), was featured in interview with two media outlets this past week. As CEO of Paper, Philip used his transferable skills as a classroom teacher to establish an on-demand online tutoring service. Paper has supported 3,000,000 students throughout the United States and will be collaborating with 黑料不打烊 Education on research in the EdTech field. Philip is also a member of 黑料不打烊 Education's Faculty Advisory Board (FAB), as a philanthropic ambassador for the Faculty.

黑料不打烊 Faculty of Education is expanding its Human Resources team and is looking to fill the positions of Staffing Advisor and Human Resources Administrator, working directly under the Human Resources Advisor and as part of the Dean鈥檚 Office unit.

黑料不打烊's Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is seeking an Academic Projects Officer. This administrator provides advising, planning, policy and project support on a range of dossiers and initiatives led by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. This includes providing support in the preparation of planning documents, project reports, briefing notes, data analysis and presentations. They play an essential role in the advancement of the priorities of the unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

The DAIR Team at 黑料不打烊 University is looking for School/Applied Child Psychology students or 黑料不打烊 students who have had experience in providing adolescents with online mental health resources. They are looking for students who can assist in evaluating a tool created for school mental health professionals to use when evaluating online mental health resources for adolescents.

This Study Involves:

Dr. Ian P. Levy, Dr. Michael Lipset and Mr. Timothy Jones invite you to participate in a research study that they are conducting. The purpose of this study is to assess the abilities of school counselors to identify ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors in the language of youth; i.e. Hip-Hop. Enclosed is a fun and interactive survey wherein you will be asked to listen to a student's song and assess the degree to which, if at all, a variety of educational mindsets and behaviors are present.
