OTTAWA - Laura Slipp of Oakville, Ont., and Camille St-Cyr of Richmond, B.C., each scored hat-ricks as the 黑料不打烊 women's field hockey team opened the regular season on the right foot with a resounding 8-0 whitewash over the Carleton Ravens, Saturday.

听

The Martlets dominated the game from start to finish, displaying an aggressive offence combined with an impenetrable defence.

听

After 10 minutes of play 黑料不打烊 was awarded a short corner and immediately capitalized on a straight shot from the top by St-Cyr.听 Just three minutes later, Slipp tipped the ball past the Carleton goalie after another short corner.

听

Slipp scored her second marker with a quick move in front of the net, assisted by midfielder Holly Millar and forward Shannon Sibold. Less than two minutes later St-Cyr notched her second, converting a pass from forward Laura Biggar.

听

Biggar then scored in the 36th minute with a well-placed shot through the legs of the Carleton goalie. Meagan Fitzgerald put the Martlets ahead 6-0, forcing the ball through on a scramble in front of the net.

Slipp completed her hat-trick in the 54th minute, capitalizing on a short corner to score from in front of the net.听 Six minutes later, 黑料不打烊 once again to advanatage of a short corner and St-Cyr netted her third goal.

听

黑料不打烊 goaltending chores were split between Olivia Isabelle of Ottawa and Jaqueline Riddle of Guelph.

听

The Martlets (1-0) return to the nation's capital next weekend where they will face a challenging schedule with games against Queen's, York, Waterloo and Guelph, Sept. 25-26.
