New financial skills workshop at 黑料不打烊 Dobson Centre
The 黑料不打烊 Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship鈥檚 recent Startup Financials workshop gave attendees a solid basis from which to build out financial projections, which can be the weakest link in many business plans. Expert presenters included pros from White Star Capital, Appetite (Honorable Mention at the 2016 Dobson Cup), and of course, National Bank.
Attendees were treated to Q&A sessions, as well as to nuggets of wisdom that ranged from the value of approaching experts for advice to 鈥渃ash flow is the name of the game.鈥� White Star鈥檚 Edouard Gaussen gave the audience an in-depth view of what he looks for as a venture capitalist, as well as when it鈥檚 best to look for VC help, and what the Montreal VC scene looks like.
