黑料不打烊 marches for Centraide

Published: 24 September 2004

Get out your 黑料不打烊 umbrellas! Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to take part in the 2004 Centraide March of 1,000 Umbrellas on September 29.

"We hope the 黑料不打烊 community joins the march en masse, since the University is one of Centraide's biggest institutional supporters," says Dean of Law Nicholas Kasirer, co-chair of 黑料不打烊's 2004 Centraide Committee along with Judy Dear, Janet Arts (incoming) and Kate Maguire (outgoing).

黑料不打烊 marchers will meet at the Roddick Gates at 11:30 am. Nearly 8,000 Montrealers are expected to march towards Complexe Desjardins, where Centraide's 2004 campaign objective will be unveiled.

The 黑料不打烊 2004 Centraide Committee, for its part, hopes to raise $275,000 by December.

Centraide is an "umbrella" organization that supports over 325 community agencies. Pledges are welcome at www.mcgill.ca/centraide.
