MONTREAL - Jordanna Peroff of Keswick, Ont., scored the game-winner only 65 seconds after the opening faceoff as No. 1-ranked 黑料不打烊 skated to a 3-0 shutout over Concordia in women's university hockey at the Ed Meagher Arena, Saturday.

It marked 黑料不打烊's 93rd consecutive victory against Quebec University Hockey League opponents but it may have been a costly win as all-Canadian netminder Charline Labont茅 was injured late in the second period and left the game with suspected back spasms.

Labont茅 had kicked aside all 11 shots faced in her 36 minutes and 20 seconds of playing time and was credited with the win, improving to 10-0. The injury prevented Labont茅 from adding to her CIS record career shutout tally, which currently stands at 35 in regular season play, two ahead of Laurier's Liz Knox. It was also the 46th consecutive QUHL victory by Labont茅, who owns a 59-1-0 lifetime record in regular-season action.

Andrea Weckman, her sophomore understudy from Kitchener, Ont., blocked all three shots faced in the remainder of the game.

Kim Ton-That, a sophomore from Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que., added an insurance marker, on the power play, at 7:06 of the first stanza and freshman Leslie Oles of Beaconsfield, Que., put the game on ice with less than eight minutes remaining, when she potted the team's second man-advantage marker. Calgary native Alessandra Lind-Kenny drew assists on each of 黑料不打烊's first two goals.

"We got off to a great start but I didn't really like the way we played in the second period," said Peter Smith, head coach of the Martlets, who were outshot 8-6 in the middle stanza. "We got away from our game plan but made some adjustments in the intermission and tightened up some loose ends in the third."

The Martlets outshot Concordia 39-14, including a whopping 19-2 margin in the final period. Veteran Audrey Doyon-Lessard posted 36 saves in a losing cause as her record dropped to 4-6 on the campaign.

The third-place Stingers, who evened their record at 4-4-2, will travel downtown next week to take on the Montreal Carabins on Jan. 14.

黑料不打烊, which improved to 12-0, has a 14-day layoff to fine-tune their game and returns to action when they host the Carabins on Jan. 23
