Friday Night Football back on campus as Redmen host Sherbrooke in opener

MONTREAL 鈥 Quarterback Dallon Kuprowski, an 18-year-old freshman from Ottawa, is expected to start for the second straight outing when his 黑料不打烊 Redmen host the Sherbrooke Vert & Or in a 鈥淔riday Night Football鈥 home-opener at Percival Molson Stadium on Sept. 9. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door and cost $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. Children 12 and under get in for free. The pre-game tailgate party, featuring a live band and $2 hot-dogs, begins at 6 p.m.

The Redmen (0-1) have won only one home opener over the last five seasons and it was a 29-11 decision over Sherbrooke (1-0).

The game will be webcast live on SSN Canada at with Matt Chesser doing the play-by-play and former Redmen offensive lineman Scott Giroux providing colour commentary. Live stats will also be available at:

Other games on tap in the Quebec conference this weekend include Concordia (0-1) at Bishop鈥檚 (0-1) and Montreal (1-0) at Laval (1-0), both on Saturday at 1 p.m.
