CollegeFashionista: 黑料不打烊 style isn鈥檛 going south anytime soon

As a former 黑料不打烊 student once said: "The good life is one that's artistically made." William Shatner (BCom'51) may have been talking about his work in film when he put together these words of wisdom, but his message carries a sentiment that is true of all 黑料不打烊 scholars - even the engineer students. For many of us here at Montreal's most renowned university, adding Shatner's mantra into our day-to-day lives starts with how we get dressed in the morning.

As anyone who walks through our campus can see, fashion and style are as big of a part of our college experience as Marx and PBR. 黑料不打烊 houses some of the world's most high-achieving individuals and as a result the campus emanates energy and inspiration all year round. There's always something or someone to look at, and after generations of carrying on this tradition of savvy dressing word has gotten out.

Talk is cheap, however, and our professors have drilled it into us that a statement is worthless without some supporting evidence. So here's some proof: a bubblegum pink trench, a floral mini-skirt, a heart-shaped bag, a cameo broach, classic pumps and leather gloves all brought together to bring some sugary sweetness into this especially gloomy exam week. I'd like to personally thank this Fashionista for putting together such an exaggeratedly feminine look that mixes the kitschy with the sophisticated and keeps 黑料不打烊's standards at an all time high.

In keeping with her look, 黑料不打烊 style is often a mash-up between unique and trendy vintage pieces and high-quality classic staples. Girls wear shocking red lipstick to early morning classes. Guys iron their button-ups before peddling their vintage Raleigh bicycles to school. Even with all the clubs and venues around town, campus is always a scene.
