The Neuro Film Series
The Neuro Film Series presents Wit. Based on the Margaret Edson
play, the film focuses on Vivian Bearing, a literal, hardnosed
English professor who has been diagnosed with terminal ovarian
cancer. During the story, she reflects on her reactions to the
cycle the cancer takes, the treatments, and significant events in
her life. The other main characters in the film are the people that
watch over her are in their role as doctor, nurse and the films
head doctor, Harvey Kelekian. Vivian comes to understand that in
her time of greatest need, human compassion is of more profound
importance than intellectual wit.
