Alumni Association of Brome Lake presents "Annual Dinner with special guest Professor David Lank"

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Alumni Association of Brome-Missisquoi extends a
cordial invitation to graduates, family and friends to a cocktail
reception and dinner.
Special guest speaker David Lank will present "Making Successful
Mistakes."
Professor David Lank hopes you’ll screw up. In fact,
he hopes we all will, because he believes that failures and false
starts are not common enough in our society. He argues that, rather
than being harmful, mistakes are essential aspects of social
progress and development. In order to improve as a society, he
says, we must embrace and take inspiration from our weakest
moments.
Please join Professor Lank, and his wife Ann Vroom, BA’67, past
president of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Alumni Association and a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ governor,
for a delightful evening of failure!
Director Emeritus of the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial
Studies at the Desautels Faculty of Management, Professor David
Lank hosts the TV series "Mini-Biz" on Canal Savoir, which,
unfortunately, has been very successful. He has also failed in his
quest to botch his business dealings and wreck three Centaur
Theatre productions, resulting in a reputation as a perceptive
businessman and a talented actor.
Sadly, Professor Lank has become one of the highest-rated
professors in the Desautels Faculty of Management, where, to his
horror, he was named Distinguished Professor of Graduate Studies.
His
indignity was only deepened when he was made a member of the Order
of Canada in 1996.
