黑料不打烊's Friends of the Library are proud to host the Blue Metropolis First Peoples Literary Prize Event at the 2016 Hugh MacLennan Memorial Lecture.

First Nations advocate & Governor General鈥檚 Award winning author, Thomas King will be interviewed by Rosanna Deerchild, host of CBC Radio鈥檚 Unreserved. A Q & A will follow.

Thomas King, who is of Cherokee聽and Greek descent, is a聽novelist,聽scriptwriter, and photographer. In聽2004, he was awarded the Order聽of Canada. In 2012, his second聽non-fiction book, The Inconvenient聽Indian, won the National B.C. Non-Fiction Award and the Charles Taylor聽Prize. In 2014, he was awarded the聽Governor General鈥檚 Literary Award for Fiction, for Back of the Turtle.
